This is Simon’s story.

Meet Simon Cardell, a passionate and determined leader with a mission to fight for his community. He’s a former political consultant for the Republican Party now running on the Democratic ticket to represent Texas’ 4th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives. Simon is an advocate for safeguarding our natural resources, protecting reproductive rights, securing our community, equitable education, and prioritizing access to substance abuse resources and mental health services.

Simon was born and raised in Plano, Texas where his dad was a corporate sales executive and his mom, a customer service representative until her death from lung cancer in 2004. His parents instilled strong principles of integrity, humility, and responsibility in him at a young age. At 16, Simon and his brothers joined the workforce to contribute to household expenses. He graduated from Braswell High School in Little Elm, Texas and attended the University of North Texas.

Growing up in a Republican household, Simon believed there was a way to restore the party that was founded to fight injustice from the inside. While working on Capitol Hill for a Republican congressman, he experienced Republican leaders working to further their own self-interest, rather than working for the people. The other side of the aisle on the other hand, was working to advance real issues their constituents needed addressed. Simon Cardell is running for congress to give the power back to the people. Fighting for the causes that matter to the people of the 4th district, fighting to make sure everybody's voice counts.
